TWENTY EIGHTEEN is a landmark year benchmarking 50 year of diplomatic relations between India and Bhutan the two of the closest neighbours. Government of India and Bhutan jointly has initiated programs throughout the year commemorating this year, and we, with our experience of successfully organising the last five biennial episodes, have been made responsible to organise the INDO-BHUTAN FRIENDSHIP CAR RALLY 2018.
A motor sporting event for Four wheelers- An international zone event under the aegis of Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (F.M.s.c.l.) and the only International event inscribed in the FIA calendar from 8h to 11 March 2018.
This mega event is promoted by India-Bhutan Foundation (I.B.F.), Indo-Bhutan Friendship Association (I.B.F.A.) Kolkata Chapter, Bhutan India Friendship Association (B.LFA.) and supported by IMTRAT This event with the theme connecting people is unique in its own way and getting simultaneously flagged off from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Sikkim, West Bengal the Indian states bordering Bhutan and converging here at Siliguri, the gateway to the North-East, Sikkim and Bhutan. Here we have the start of the competitive sector of the event which terminates at Thimphu, Bhutan. The results and prize distribution ceremony shall be held at the Thimphu, Clock Tower, amidst the presence of dignitaries.
