BSF Felicitates Organisations on their Effort to Help Flood Victims

Today a function was held at HQ Frontier North Bengal BSF to felicitate various organizations who spontaneously came forward to help the flood victims in West Bengal & the adjoining areas of Bihar.

ADG, BSF Easter Command Sri Ramesh Prasad Singh & IG-BSF Sri Rajesh Kr Misra along with their team were present to brief the representatives of various social/business organizations. IG briefed through a ppt presentation, the extent of damage & the relief work carried out by BSF. ADG thanked all the representatives for rising for the cause & supporting the relief work with food, medicines etc.etc.

ADG extended special thanks to the members of Siliguri Tea Traders’ Association (STTA) for giving away 3trucks of food material & 2day long medical relief camps at Nargaon & Khuraku in Uttar Dinajpur District at Bangladesh Border. He appreciated the fact that the STTA members themselves camped at Medical Relief station & oversaw the situation of flood victims.

IG himself handed over a plaque to the President Sri Nandlal Agarwal & members Sri Sampatmal Sancheti, Sri Binod Agarwal, Sri Ankit Lochan, Sri Navneet  Jain, Sri Premlal Agarwal & Sri Rajiv Jain.

STTA too handed over the plaques to ADG Sri Ramesh Prasad Singh & IG Sri Rajesh Kr. Misra.

Sri Rajiv Jain from STTA congratulated  ADG, IG & entire BSF team in action during such flood situation. He said that people have immense faith in your organization & that is why the members wholeheartedly given away the donations to further the cause. STTA is truly satisfied, seeing the work of BSF during such hard times & will always be ready at a call from you for such humanitarian work in future.

The function was over with biscuits, snacks & with greetings to each other for satisfactory accomplishment of humanitarian work.
