IGNCA to hold cultural symposium on Padmashri Krishna Bihari Mishra


Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), an autonomous body under the Union Ministry of Culture, is organising a day-long cultural symposium on eminent litterateur, Padmashri Krishna Bihari Mishra on February 11, 2018. The programme will be inaugurated by the Governor of West Bengal Shri Keshari Nath Tripathi at Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad auditorium in Kolkata. This will the seventh programme under Cultural Dialogue Series being presented by IGNCA at various places. Earlier, IGNCA has organised similar events on Dr. Namvar Singh, Shri Ramanujacharya, Smt M M Subbalaxmi, Shri B B Lal, Shri Devendra Swarup and Shri JP.

Dr. Kripashankar Choubey, Professor of Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi University, convenor of the programme in Kolkata, informed that Dr. Krishna Bihari Mishra will be felicitated in the inaugural session of the programme. A book on Dr. Mishra titled ‘Biral Saraswat Sadhna’ will also be released to mark the occasion. Other events in the day-long programme include a panel discussion on journalistic and literary works of Dr. Mishra and screening of a documentary film on him, directed by Shri Abhishek Chaturvedi.
