International Yoga Day is being observed in West Bengal since morning. Various organizations including NCC has observed the day with special morning Yoga session. The Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal participated in yoga session at the Indian Research Institute for Integrated Medicine (IRIIM) at their Mourigram Campus, Howrah where more than 200 persons from all walks of life including children, students and housewives took part in the morning session of Common Yoga Protocal designed by the Ministry of Ayush. Shri Meghwal actively took part in the yoga session which lasted for 45 minutes. Latter he, in his address appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Ayush in familiarizing the common yoga protocol among the people. Shri Meghwal said India has earned a place of reputein the world by popularizing Yoga and thanked the Prime Minister for his efforts to initiate the observations of International Yoga Day all over the world. prasing the enthusiasm of the kids to practice Yoga, the Minister said it is a heartening instance as the upcoming generation is the future citizen of the country.
Dr. Debashis Bakshi, the Secretary IRIIM, Said, great enthusiasm was observed among common people as more than 600 people assembled at the campus to practice yoga which was performed in three consecutive sessions in the morning.
