The Tricolor flag of the hill temple has joined the Limca Book of Records. The height of this tricolor is 30.17 meters long and 20.12 meters wide at the height of 493 feet high flag pole. This tricolor flag was hoisted on January 23, 2016, on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The launch of this Tricolor flag was inaugurated by Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar by hoisting the tricolor with a button below the hill station.
The city’s industrialist Vishnu Agarwal had given a grant of Rs. 18 million to the committee for the development of the hill palace Tiranga Jhande. After this, the former Defense Minister also honored Mr. Agarwal for this at a function organized at Morahabadi Maidan.
Upon joining the city’s tri-color in the Limca Book of Records, Shri Agarwal said that it is a matter of joy and pride for the entire state.
