Siliguri: Today North Bengal State Transport Corporation and Airport Authority of India, Bagdogra announces special services for the distressed tourists stuck in hills.
Today afternoon after the clash between Police and GJMM protesters, Darjeeling hills had turned into a battleground and entire hills were under indefinite strike.
Several tourists who visited Darjeeling for vacations have been stuck in the town because of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha. The supporters of the Morcha clashed with police. They had no clue when and how they will be able to return to their respective native place.
Seeing the recent agitations in the hills and to relieve the stuck tourists NBSTC has announced that from tomorrow morning onwards from 6 AM to 6 PM every two hours. NBSTC will run special buses to Kolkatta from Siliguri Tenzing Norway Bus Terminal for distressed passengers. Also to relieve the passengers the Airport Authority of India Bagdogra has announced that the will open at 5 AM in the morning and will accept passengers inside the terminal building. Restaurant and Snack Bar will start serving from 6 AM .
