“The best varieties on show will be given a certificate of excellence. If Bihari food gets rated the best, it will not only make the country proud, but street food vendors of the state too will feel encouraged,” said Dinesh Kumar.
Dinesh Kumar “Mine is a rags to riches tale. I left my home in Darbhanga district in north Bihar at quite a young age and came to the state capital, Patna,to earn money. There he started selling ‘bhelpuri’ near the Patna Museum and at Mauryalok shopping complex in the early 2000s.
Soon he realised the growing popularity of street food among Patnaites and also the increasing population of people who needed readymade food.
His tryst with ‘littis’ began in 2004 when he set up a litti stall at Dak Bungalow road and which soon his business went for drawing food lovers to the extent, Considering this popularity, NASVI invited him to take part in the Manila grub fest.
