Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Marketing and Service Extension Centre Gangtok, Govt. of India celebrated Anti-Terrorism day at Chandmari, Gangtok, today. About 22 Handicrafts Artisans of Carpet and Embroidery Crafts took the Pledge against Terrorism.
Shashikant Gupta, Handicrafts Promotion Officer while briefing about Anti-Terrorism day, he said the day is being observed to generate awareness in the country among all sections of people, about the danger of terrorism and violence and its effect on the people, society and the country as a whole and to wean away the people from terrorism and violence. Pema Wangmu Dhopthapa (Carpet Expert) was present during the ceremony.
D.K. Khawas, Assistant Director (Handicrafts) has given the speech on the dangers of terrorism & violence. He express thanks to the Artisans for participating in Oath-ceremony and celebrating Anti-terrorism day. (PIB)
