A Swachchhata Rath to spread awareness on ‘Swachchhata Hi Seva’ has been introduced by Indian Oil Corporation Limited today. The ‘Rath’ was flagged off by Shri R.K. Mohapatra, Executive Director, West Bengal State Office and Shri Gautam Bose, Executive Director Regional Services of IOCL today. The tableau will roam around in the neighbouring areas of IOCL’s West Bengal Headquarters to create awareness about cleanliness for a week till Gandhi Jayanti (October 2) on which day Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan was started three years ago.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Mohapatra spoke about the aesthetic and health needs of maintaining cleanliness in our surroundings. Stating examples of places in India and also foreign countries where people voluntarily clean their neighbourhoods, Shri Bose urged all employees of IOCL to actively participate in Swachchhata Abhiyan.
